



FIM MiniGP Series
Following an extremely successful inaugural year, Ohvale Australia is excited for the continual development of the FIM MiniGP Australia Series in 2023. The FIM MiniGP Australia Series will expand to offer two classes for riders from 10-16 years for the 2023 season with five rounds to be held across four states. Once again, the top riders from each of the classes will be given the opportunity to participate in the FIM world Series Final that will take place during the week of the FIM MotoGP World Championship’s final season event. The winner of the FIM MiniGP World Series Final will secure a spot in one of the Road to MotoGP Programs*.
The purpose of the FIM MiniGP World Series is to provide a competitive race series aimed for junior development, and a direct path for a Road to MotoGP Program. With world-wide regulation, control tyres, sealed engines and all participants on the same bike, ensures that there is a level playing field.

Age
160cc class – 10-14 years old
The participant must be aged at least 10 years old and can continue to participate until the end of the year in which the rider reaches the age of 14
​
190cc class – 12-16 years old
The participant must be aged at least 12 years old and can continue to participate until the end of the year in which the rider reaches the age of 16

Rounds
The 2023 FIM MiniGP Australia Series will consist of 5 rounds. Each round will have the following sessions at minimum:

2 free practice sessions

2 qualifying sessions

2 races (Race duration is approx. 15 mins)
ROUND 1: 11th & 12th March 2023 – Port Melbourne VIC

ROUND 2: 20th & 21st May 2023 – Cameron Park NSW
ROUND 3: 22nd & 23rd July 2023 – Ipswich QLD
ROUND 4: 26th & 27th August 2023 – Monarto SA
ROUND 5: 23rd & 24th September 2023 – Oakleigh VIC
Bike
All bikes will have a sealed engine so no modifications can be completed, ensuring a level playing field.
160cc class

Ohvale GP-0 160cc 4spd, single cylinder engine, 10" wheels

Ohvale GP-2 190cc 4spd, single cylinder engine, 12" wheels

MUPO suspension, slipper clutch, quickshifter allowed

Tyres
Pirelli is the official tyre for the FIM MiniGP World Series. There is a maximum of 2 sets of tyres per Round for each participant. There will be a tyre change service available at each round.
Support Classes
At each round of the FIM MiniGP Australia Series there will be support classes which is open to competitors over the age of 14,*

Mini Motard / Grom / Z125 Open (16 years +)
